Architectural stages
Once the architectural professional’s appointment has been formalised in terms of the services required and the fees agreed, the architectural professional will engage with the client to commence the process.
Architectural services are set out as per current SACAP Professional Fees Guideline as published in the Government Gazette and covers 6 work-stages:
Stage 1: Inception
Stage 2: Concept & Viability
Stage 3: Design development
Stage 4: Documentation & Procurement
Stage 4.1: Local Authority Documentation
Stage 4.2: Documentation for Construction and the Procurement/Tender Process
Stage 5: Construction
Stage 6: Close-out
